1. How do we collect information?
When you contact Anti-Slavery International in relation to our activities, register as a supporter, send or receive information, make a donation / buy goods or take part in a campaign you provide us with Personal Information.

2. What information do we collect?
Financial Information
Anti-Slavery International takes the security of your Personal Information very seriously. Consequently we use 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for all your transactions. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. So while we strive to protect such information, we cannot absolutely ensure or warrant the security of information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.

Personal Information
Personal Information is anything that enables us to identify you as an individual, for example, your name and e-mail address. When you supply information to us, we are legally obliged by the Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure that the information you have provided is only used for the purpose for which it was requested, and to ensure that the data is kept securely.

3. What does providing my Personal Information mean?
When you provide us with your personal data, you are agreeing to consent to the collection and use of any information you provide in accordance with the stated purposes and this privacy statement.

4. What are my choices regarding, collection, use and distribution of my information?
If you indicated that you are interested in receiving regular information about Anti-Slavery International's work we will send you communications either electronically or otherwise. In addition, we may send you direct mail that we feel may be of interest to you. Anti-Slavery International will not sell or rent supporter information to anyone. From time to time, we agree with other like minded organisations to write to some of each other's supporters, for the mutual benefit of both. If you would rather not be included in any such exchange please contact us.

5. Will we disclose the information we collect to outside parties?
Anti-Slavery International may need to make your Personal Information available to other companies for services to be provided to you, for example, when we contract out some of our services or functions However, when we do this, we will not authorise such third parties to use your Personal Information in any other way and will require them to protect your Personal Information to the same degree that we do.

We may also need to disclose your information if required to do so by law.

6. Do we use cookies?
The Anti-Slavery International site does not automatically capture or store personal data from visitors to the site, other than to log the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit to the site and the nature of the browser used. This information is used only for administration of the site system and in the compilation of statistics used by Anti-Slavery International to assess the use of the site.

7. Can I opt out of further communications?
If you do not wish to receive further communications of a particular type or no longer wish Anti-Slavery International to contact you at all please tell us. We will always respect your privacy and any personal communication between you and ourselves.

8. Can I have access to my information?
You may request a copy of any Personal Information that Anti-Slavery International has about you (for which we may charge a small administration fee) by contacting us at the address above.

Should your personal details change, please help us to keep your information up to date by contacting us at the address given above.

Notification of change of Privacy and Usage Policy
We reserve the right to amend this statement. Should this happen, we will post a notice of the change on the website, and you will be deemed to have accepted the changes.
