Call for Evaluator: Supporting Child Domestic Workers in Peru

Anti-Slavery International is seeking a consultant for an end of project evaluation of its Comic Relief-funded project supporting child domestic workers (CDWs) in Peru. The project supports children in domestic work to feel confident to claim their rights and improve their situation by providing direct services as well as mentoring them in asking for that change. The project also seeks to achieve a fundamental shift in the perception of child domestic work within society, at all levels, from policy-makers to duty bearers, employers, the families of CDWs and the public at large. Beneficiaries should have improved self-esteem and confidence, enabling them to play an active role in improving their lives and diminishing potential abuses.

The main purpose of the evaluation is to evaluate the project that is being implemented between May 2012 and April 2017, and to help the project partners and donors to learn from the experience of the project and assess the impact the project.

The evaluation should be undertaken in March 2017. Please see attached Terms of Reference for evaluation criteria and more information.

Applicants should submit a CV and a brief approach paper outlining ideas for the evaluation including an outline schedule of activities, timeframe and budget, evaluation expenses are strictly limited to £9,700 in total. The deadline for applications is midnight Wednesday 1st February to Mariela Gonzalez (m.gonzalez@antislavery.org) with interviews to be held in person or via Skype on February 9th and 10th, 2017.
