We’re calling on you to help expose the hidden truths in the fashion industry. Demand transparency from the brands you love by asking one simple question: #WhoMadeMyClothes?
The fashion industry is one of the most vulnerable to forced labour. From factory floors to cotton fields, garment workers endure low wages, gruelling hours, and unsafe conditions. Nearly 20% of the world’s cotton is still linked to the forced labour of Uyghurs and other Turkic and Muslim-majority groups.
Together, we can make fashion a force for good. Let’s make our voices heard.

Email Subject: Who made my clothes?
Dear [brand name],
As a customer who values ethical fashion, I’m writing to ask: Who made my clothes?
With millions of workers trapped in forced labour globally, your brand has a responsibility to ensure that no one is exploited in the making of your products – from your own factories to those of your suppliers and beyond. The Fashion industry continues to be one of the most at-risk industries; it’s unacceptable that nearly 20% of the world’s cotton continues to be linked to forced labour of Uyghurs and other Turkic and Muslim majority groups.
I urge you to be transparent about your supply chains, take accountability, and ensure your goods are produced without modern slavery at any stage. This includes:
- Identifying the risks of slavery practices in your supply chains and taking every step you can to address them – including taking a look at your own business model and purchasing practices.
- Ensure fair wages and safe working conditions for all workers at every stage of production.
- Going beyond the bare minimum, ensuring tackling slavery in your supply chains is a core value in your business practices.
I want to support brands that respect for human rights.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
[Your name]
